You Should Be Hearing These Songs Everywhere This Spring

Justin Timberlake & Chris Stapleton, "Say Something"

As Chris rises slowly and steadily with his own single, "Broken Halos," "Say Something" will be the song that saves Justin Timberlake's Man of the Woods era. The lead single, "Filthy" failed to make an impact, but this country-pop has the potential to conquer pop and country radio and own the spring. The video, despite its 6-minute length, is doing well and all signs point to a smash hit.

Khalid & Normani, "Love Lies"

Normani is poised to be the next breakout star from Fifth Harmony. Her joint single with Khalid from the Love, Simon soundtrack is objectively great and if the movie is a hit, this is guaranteed to be big. Read a full review here.

SZA, "Broken Clocks"

I've been stanning for this track since the album dropped. The single campaign launched with a Grammys performance and once the music video drops this will explode. Everyone who has heard this album loves this song, even Obama. "Broken Clocks" is the pinnacle of the convergence of pop and alternative R&B, it should be SZA's first solo smash hit.

BlocBoy JB featuring Drake, "Look Alive"

This is already a hit and it's only been out for a week. Drake kills the hook and the verse and the video is pure fun. It will probably peak on streaming/sales before it conquers radio which will only help its longevity.

Maluma featuring Nego do Borel, "Corazón"

This has been falling in and out of the charts since its release. All this track needs is a viral video or one pivotal performance and it will explode. The track is reminiscent of "Despacito" but still has the distinctive smooth vocals that give Maluma his X-factor.

bazzi, "Mine"

Have you heard the opening lines? Or that chorus? Or the pristine production?  bazzi will be taking the pop music world by storm once this track reaches its full potential. Seriously, check this song out, it's instantly likable.

Imagine Dragons, "Whatever It Takes"

Imagine Dragons have mastered the art of the "slow-burner." In fact, they just became the first artist in history to have three songs chart for at least one year each. Lyrically, "Whatever It Takes" is the perfect song for spring, the final stretch of the school year. Expect to hear this in every commercial and on every radio station.

Kane Brown, "Heaven"

The last country song that truly crossed over was Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road." Kane Brown could become the next with love song, "Heaven." Kane Brown had a minor crossover hit with his Lauren Alaina collab, "What Ifs," and he is only poised for greater heights. This is the track I'd put my money on to be the next country crossover hit.

Keala Settle, "This Is Me"

The Greatest Showman has been enjoying stellar longevity at the box office and healthy word of mouth since its initial release. "This Is Me" is an empowerment ballad for the ages, and it is used in the most stunning and pivotal scene in the movie. I doubt it'll reach the lexicon of "Let It Go," but I think it'll be a solid hit in its own right.

Migos featuring Drake, "Walk It Talk It"

Drake + Migos, is there really anything more to say? It doesn't look like Drake will be leaving the #1 spot with "God's Plan" anytime soon, and Migos has already racked up two top ten hits from their Culture II album with "Motor Sport" and "Stir Fry." With a hook as a catchy as this, there is no way "Walk It Talk It" won't be a hit.

Kendrick Lamar & SZA, "All The Stars"

These two artists owned 2017 and this song is the lead single for the soundtrack to the biggest movie of the year, Black Panther. With opening weekend projections hovering around $200 million, this track has an insane amount of ears waiting to hear it. With promotion like this, a #1 is all but guaranteed. Yes, The Weeknd and Kendrick's "Pray For Me" has peaked higher at the moment, but "All The Stars" will outperform it in the long run.
